China Star

Last night a friend of mine tooks us to dinner at China Star here are some pics, of course they are not in order, I never can get this right, the ones at the bottom should be at the top...although she was sleeping when we got there & again when we left. I love the picture of their hands, he was holding out his hand for Madi to play with & I thought it was neat the way she laid hers on top of his like "Mama, look at the difference..."

It sure is exhausting to be told you are beautiful all the time! Whew~what is a girl to do?!?!

These are the looks I get when I tell Madilyn she is the most beautiful girl in the world...I really need to get a digital camera though! My phone has horrible lighting & for some reason the pics suddenly won't get bigger than this.

The Notebook

This is the greatest love story of our generation...I cry EVERY time I watch this movie...who loves like that? Does it really exist? I read this book years ago...if you haven't read it, you should! I guess if you have found your soulmate than you experience this kind of love, but I don't know since I haven't found my soulmate...or that "1" person I am meant to spend my life with or maybe I have & don't know it yet...or I do know or at least think maybe I have...ok see the confusion?!?! This is where patience comes in, anyone who knows me knows that I don't have much patience...and yes I know patience is a virtue. I'm getting better with my patience though, something you HAVE to learn as a mom!

Aren't they so cute? If you talked to Sami about Madi & showed her to him he was all grins! Madi looks like yeah I got this boy...really look at her face!

She covets her bottle...

She has just started to really cry & fuss when I take her bottle away to burp her...here are the 3 phases. Is it mean to take pics of your baby when they are crying? It's so cute the way she puckers her lip though, although everytime I tried to get that pick she just opened wide to cry. There were no tears with this cry until the 3rd picture, then it was serious.

Scooting

It's hard to see with the lighting, but in the top pic under her you can kind of see her memory foam pad w/the thingy boppers on the side that keep her from moving. She was placed on top of that, sleeping, & when I went to check on her probably about 20 min later she had scooted off of that pad into the corner, all the while staying wrapped up just the way I had snuggled her. Of course, we are looking at her laughing & the bottom pic is her looking at us like "what, what did I do?"

I have new pics to post, 2 that come with a really good story...however, I am having a hard time getting them to transfer from my phone to my email...so if you don't see new pics for a while that is why! I really wish I could figure this out, they are in my sent box on the phone, but then never show up in my email inbox!!!

1st Date

It's hard to believe Jan & I have babies that are only 2 1/2 weeks apart in age, ok it's hard to believe we have childrent! Jan I have had so many good times off/on over the last 15 years that we had to get the kiddos started early! This was our trip to Starbucks yesterday.

Baby Has a New Pair of Shoes...

...ok 1st pair of shoes! Of course, I couldn't put a picture of just the shoes on could I? She doesn't really need shoes since she doesn't even crawl yet, but they were so cute I couldn't resist!

Married???

Yesterday morning when I woke up I had a nice text message from my ex-boyfriend, who ripped my heart out & stomped on it...TWICE (while I was pregnant), ok the 2nd time was my fault, shame on me. Anyway, the 2nd time around it was because he met someone else & he let me know of this through a text message...anyone remember the episode of SATC where Kerri was dumped on a post it note? I know how she felt. So, back to yesterday's text message, just wanted to inform me he is happier in his life now than he EVER has been because he is now engaged to the girl he dumped me for & his parents were so excited for him because they love her SO much (they hated me)...ok buddy GOOD FOR YOU! Why do people do this? Is there a purpose behind letting me in on this information? I didn't see it at the time, but do now, what a loser & does she not think for a second that he may be unfaithful & dishonest with her as he was me? It took me a while, but I got over it, no big deal, but what if I hadn't why dig the knife a little deeper? Showing off? MEN! Where are the nice ones?

Chloe with Madi...this is without a doubt Madilyn's protector, since the day she came home. If Madi would or does make a little wimper she runs & checks on her, when we go to my mom's I can't get her put down fast enough for Chloe to lick her head! They are going to be good buddies...

Lori & Madi...ok funny story here! We are at my moms, me Madi, Linds & Lori ~Linds is behind the camera & doesn't realize it is on video, so Lori now has a video of Linds saying how does this work I don't know if it is taking a picture or not, so we are all giggling, of course, trying to figure it out & Lori is saying between her teeth, take the picture, have you taken the picture? So, maybe it was funnier if you were there but it was another great moment with the girls, LOL! We miss you Lori!

Rainforest

This is Madilyn's newest "toy" & her favorite! She has a swing, a tummy time mat & a little toy that she lays under & she either cries or passes out, she actually plays with this. Any new or soon-to-be parents out there...this is the BEST bouncy ever. It plays soothing rainforest sounds & when she kicks the toys it plays music & the waterfall lights up. The bottom pic is a little fuzzy because she is kicking so much it won't stop bouncing. So, I guess I am giving Fisher Price free advertising here, but the entire Rainforest line is wonderful, she has the mobile too which she will lay in bed & watch, she smiles & coos, but once it stops she cries :(. I will add a pic of her laying in bed watching the mobile...very happy girl.

I realize this puts my blog a little out of order, but I just received these pics from my mom & had to share them.

First bath~you can see she wasn't the happiest. She screamed like this the 1st 2-3 wks I gave her baths, then she realized it wasn't so bad.

World News???

I am sitting at work yesterday morning & the tv is on CNN. Amongst the morning headlines, for several hours (we finally turned it off) was the story of Britney Spears bombing the VMA's, really is this world news? WHO CARES?!?! She isn't the cute, sweet & innocent little girl she was when she 1st came out, there are 13 year old girls that don't even like her...some role model! I don't know about anyone else, but I am so TIRED of hearing about Britney, Lindsay, Paris, Nicole & I will be the 1st person to pick up a People or In Touch magazine, but almost stop because I am so tired of reading about the bad girls. This is entertainment news, not world news...there are more important things going on in our world besides Britney at the VMA's, although I saw the clip enough times...she really did suck! We will hear about this for another week or 2, just like Paris Hilton, it was a daily countdown of her "jail" time...what a joke!

8 week check-up

1st taste of ice cream...my mom & Grandma said I needed to take her to get ice cream after she had her shots, it makes everything better. So, we went to Wendy's & got a vanilla frosty. Of course, by the time we got home she was sound asleep & it wasn't until 2 hrs later she actually got it...in bed, lucky chick!

Yes, I know it is hard to believe, but Madilyn is 8 wks old already! She weighed in at 10 lb. 12 oz. coming in to the 50% for her age & is now 23 1/2 in coming in to the 90%. Doc said she is very healthy & strong!
